    Inexpensive ideas:

Toy Lending Library - Free for your first visit, max of $10 for family after that

E2 Toys 2 Try - $12 per family max to play

Arsenal Lanes - Saturday special - $7 all you can bowl 12-3, Sunday 1-4 $6 entry fee then .50cent shoes, games, etc.

Chuck E. Cheese - Print coupon for 100 tokens for $15 and it'll keep you busy a couple of hours

Carnegie Museum Natural History/Art - I read somewhere that February was "kids free" month. I can't find it on their site but I know I just read it. A bit more expensive ($15 per adult) but a good deal.

Glow in the Dark Mini Golf - At Pittsburgh Mills. Kids are $5 or free with a paying adult ($6 adults). Then wander around the mall, play in the hobby store/train table, ride the carousel ($2), visit the pet store, etc.

If you're still looking, admission to the Aviary is only $5 through March 20 -- they are offering reduced admission while they are in the midst of building new exhibits and a theater, so one major hallway is closed off and there some construction material around, but you can still see most of the birds, feed the lorikeets, watch teh penguins, etc. On Tuesdays they have a story time that's included in admission; on Wednesday they have Junior Vets, also included. Great for preschoolers as well.

I was just checking out snow tubing at Boyce Park and I know South Park and North Park have it too.  I'm not sure if my 5 year old is ready for this yet though...I'd probably enjoy it more than him!  Has anyone been snow tubing with younger kids?  I couldn't find any height requirements on Boyce's website like I have seen at other snow tubing facilities.  http://www.county.allegheny.pa.us/parks/fees/snowtube.aspx
