    Here's a thread for those of us that want to try and drop some weight, get in shape, etc. before Christmas (10 weeks from tomorrow! Eeek!) to talk, support each other, share goals and accomplishments etc.

    Count me in, too!  Switching to a desk job has killed my metabolism!  I hear that little changes can make a big difference in the long run, so here are few changes that I am going to implement immediately:

    • Drinking only black coffee in moderation
    • Drinking lots water and unsweetened Green Tea
    • EATING BREAKFAST!!!

    Since I'm not an over-eater, it's going to require some extra motivation to exercise.  I have a new fangled product coming in for review called the Spin Gym that helps with flabby arms...we'll see how that works!  You folks will be the first to know!  Good luck everyone!

    Hello! As I sit here drinking a coke and eating a Halloween cookie, I contemplate why I am not losing any weight...SO...count me in, I definately need to lose some weight, but I need a support system.

    Count me in too. 

    My second daughter turned 1 in September and I am trying to lose the baby weight.  I had a c-section and am having a really hard time losing the belly flap.  They say the belly flap never goes away but I have gotten it to go down a bit.  I got a part time job at a local health club 2 nights a week and that gives me a free gym membership.  I have lost 12 pounds so far by taking spinning classes and working out after I work.  I work in the Kid Area and there are lots of moms who can bring their kids in while they work out.  If you are a member, the kids zone is free.  I beleive the spin classes are really helping me lose the weight.  I do eat 3 meals a day and drink a cup of hot tea in the am and water for the rest of the day.  For a sweet treat, I eat some dark chocolate or a hand full of semi-sweet chocolate chips.  I love them!  I am actually a treataholic. :)  Everytime I eat something, I need a sweet treat after.  I find that chewing lots of sugar free gum and brusing our teeth after meals helps too.  Good Luck ladies!

    I have two problems..

    1.  I enoy eating

    2.  I detest  working out. 

    These things combined makes loosing weight a challenge.

    10 pounds in ten weeks?   I am in.   Maybe this will get me out of my Christmas cookie baking :-)

    Yes, I had a C-Section too, and I call my scar area "the ledge", it just seems to never go down, however, I have a feeling if I really tightened up that area it would not be so noticeable. Anyways, it also seems like as soon as I eat or drink anything my belly just pushes out. I blame it on my stomach muscles being cut...however, that was two and a half years ago!

    Thanks for the tips, I have to have my sweets, esp. two weeks out of the month. So is coffee drinking bad for dieting? I usually have one and a half cups in the morning...
