Pittsburgh Family Fun - Weekend Pick - ZooBoo at the Pittsburgh Zoo
If you're not familiar, ZooBoo is a trick-or-treating day at the zoo. They run it the two weekends prior to Halloween each year (This year it's October 23 & 24 and 30 & 31) from 11 am - 4 pm. Kids arriving before 3 p.m. will be given a treat bag (although they're welcome to bring their own trick or treat bag as well) and visit the dozens of tables set up around the zoo property handing out candy and other prizes. Most kids dress up, but it's not required. So in addition to seeing the animals (and fall is the perfect time of year to see them, they're always so active) the kids can have some fun trick-or-treating as well. Here are the details from the Zoo's website.

ZooBoo activities are free with general admission.
Activities include: trick-or-treating, Gymkhana's Haunted Hideaway, Docent Council Haunted House, costume parade, Not-So-Spooky train ride, and more!
Trick-or-treat bags provided to all children 13 and under. Bags will be distributed until 3 p.m.
Costumes not required (but encouraged!)
