Feel free to comment and introduce yourself and "chat" with Dana.  If you'd like to join the party or suggest a friend, just send an email to Heather at This email address is being protected from spambots. colleenName - Colleen Kudis (husband Mike)

Children - Nora age 4 Mikey will be 2 in September

Location - Jefferson Hills PA

Where are you from originally? Jefferson Hills, haven't moved from the plan I grew up!

Do you have any hobbies or passions?  I love to scrapbook!  I have scrapbooks for every family vacation, the first year of both of my kid's lives and a "family scrapbook" for each year!  I love being able to be a stay at home mom, there is nothing better than seeing all the "firsts" and watching your kids grow.  I also love my Cookie Lee jewelry business.  I have made wonderful friends with this business and the extra money for preschool isn't bad at all!

What’s unique about you or your parenting?  I let my children experience more at younger ages.  For example...when my daughter was only two years old, I let her "help" me bake cookies.  She is now a wiz in the kitchen at cookie time!  She really enjoys it and so do I, it is a special time that is just for us.

What is your favorite meal to cook that the whole family loves? (recipe would be great)  Garlic Chicken Pasta - cook 3 chicken breasts in oven or grill, cut up into chunks, cook angel hair pasta, crush 4 to 5 cloves of garlic, combine garlic, 2 tbs butter, heat over medium heat in medium sauce pot for about 5 minutes, add cooked pasta and chicken chunks, then add handful of cherry tomatoes, and sliced zucchini.  Throw on some shredded mozzorella and serve.  My kids love angel hair and chicken and this is more of an adult way of serving.  We all love it!

What is your favorite children’s book?  There's a mouse about the house - Richard Fowler (a great book for kids and they can interact by moving the mouse through the pages) It is an Usborne book.

What is the best piece of parenting advice you received or give to others.
Honestly, cherish the time when they are young.  They grow up so fast.  I didn't realize just how fast it went until my second child started walking...I then realized that I no longer had a "baby".

What’s your favorite fun place locally to take your family?  We love Kennywood and the Zoo.  We have season passes for both.  The kids enjoy both places equally.
